Turnovers cost Pierre against Bobcats

An interception, a bad snap, another interception, and a fumble gave Brookings 28 points, en route to a 35-17 victory over the Pierre Governors Friday night.
The Bobcats forced two picks on Andy Hanson, getting one at the Pierre 30-yard line, and returning the other one for a score. They also forced a fumble, getting that inside the 35.
The Bobcats' Nick Dieter controlled the flow of the game, making the first interception, throwing for 142 yards, and rushing for 51 yards. His only mistake gave Pierre a score, off Travis Scharnweber's interception return for a touchdown.
The Governors have good news ahead for them though, as they have Homecoming Friday night against the Sioux Falls Lincoln Patriots, with a 7 p.m. kickoff. Expect the Govmobiles to be out in force, along with one of the biggest crowds in Hollister Field/Trautner Stadium history being expected.
