0906a5.jpg (29986 bytes) It was a bumpy ride Friday night for Governor quarterback Tony Rislov. It was his second game, but his first healthy one, and he showed signs of promise, but nervousness. He did lead the Govs to a 27-13 win, however, and get Pierre back to .500 on the season. Pat Anderson
0906a6.jpg (45202 bytes) The turning point in the ballgame came early in the third quarter, with the score tied at 13 apiece. Mitchell was forced to punt deep in their own territory, and the snap sailed high over Darren Punt's head. He retrieved the ball in the end zone and tried to punt it out, getting tackled and fumbling the football. Nathan Auch (shown in air) jumped on the football to score what would be the game-winning touchdown for the Govs in their 27-13 victory Friday. Pat Anderson
0906a7.jpg (52888 bytes) Trevor Hohn was almost impossible to stop Friday night, but Luke Schuetzle (42) was able to wrap the elusive Kernel running back up on this play. Hohn had over 300 yards on the ground, but his team lost 27-13. Pat Anderson
0906a8.jpg (55886 bytes) Countering Trevor Hohn was Tyler Prue, who accumulated over 200 yards of rushing, including a 93-yard scoring scamper, helping lead Pierre to a two touchdown victory over the rival Kernels. Pat Anderson
0906a9.jpg (64738 bytes) HELLO RECORD BOOKS! Tyler Prue runs his way into the record books on this, his final carry of the night. Prue gained seven yards on the play, getting up to 232 rushing yards, a new Governor single-game rushing record, passing Tyler Bryant's previous mark of 230. Pat Anderson
